About the Q&A's

I was going to post the questions you had for Oreo or Roxy so they could answer them today, but we simply don't have enough questions. Now Roxy and Oreo are begging to give them some more questions so they can answer them for you! :) They would really appreciate it and would be so happy so they can answer questions from you guys. Where have we been lately?

The reason we havent been updating any of our social networking sites is because I have a job and I go to school now. My kids also have school and are in cheerleading and volleyball. So I have been very involved in that also. When I come home I care for the puppies, oreo and roxy. I spend as much of my free time with them as possible. As you can see I have been very busy busy lol. But I am going to be uploading videos and etc ASAP. I will try to get on twitter as much as possible. And so will Oreo and Roxy they re always wanting to get on :) well thank you for being patient with us. -Jonne

Puppies got their shots!

The puppies got their shots saturday August 11, 2012. If you checked our latest YouTube videos you would know that because we mention it in the video. Anyways we went to the vet and I made sure they didn't touch anything in the vetanarian clinic so they wouldn't get parvo. I put them in a doggy carrier spacious for two. Then they called us up for them to get shots. When the nurse put the needle in summer yelped a tad bit but June was pretty fine with it. We brought them home and they were a little exhausted and slept for awhile. I assume it was because of the shots. And then when they were feeling better they got up and played like usual. They will be getting their next set of shots pretty soon.

Oreo encountered a Skunk

   

I had to let Oreo and Roxy out to go potty and I was out there watching like usual. But Oreo started acting very strange and doing something on our upper lawn around the bushes, I soon went over there to see what he was doing. Here came out and I was like that was very weird. We stayed out there for a another 15 mins atleast. I picked Roxy up to and then picked him up(I pick them up so I can clean their feet) and i was said "oh my gosh Oreo you stink!" So i quickly rushed him to our tub, i knew that when people encounter a skunk that you use tomato juice. I put that on him and left it on for a good 20-25 mins. After that I washed him with regular shampoo and conditioner. But, he still stunk, so i looked up online of what to put on your dog when they have an encounter with a skunk, they said to use tomato juice, mouthwash or use a store bought De-Skunking product. So I decided to go do that, i found one called de-skunking dog shampoo by the brand Healthy Skin & Coat. I read on the internet that dogs can be blinded for two days if sprayed by a skunk, so i tested his eye sight and everything is fine(thank goodness), I also read that if you don't act quickly  that the smell can last up to two years. Anyways we got that shampoo and used it about three times and left it on for at least 10 mins each time. After that the smell wasn't even there :). We washed him with conditioner and he was all done. Hopefully now he wont be so curious with skunks. I did manage to find a home remedy in case you can't  get to a store or find a de-skunk product near you, the recipe below. Leave us any comments if this has ever happened to you or your dog maybe even someone you knows dog.


Another Somewhat Effective Method

Paul Krebaum, a chemist, invented a new more effective formula for de-skunking a dog. Mix in an open bucket or bowl:



1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide
¼ cup baking soda
1 teaspoon of strong liquid soap such as dishwashing detergent.

Mix the ingredients in an open bucket or bowl. The mixture will fizz. Wet your dog and thoroughly massage the solution into the coat. Be sure to keep the mixture out of the dog’s eyes, nose and mouth. If it is necessary to apply it to the dog’s face, very carefully use a washcloth or a sponge. After applying the mixture to all parts of your dog that may have been sprayed, rinse the dog thoroughly.

*Warning*

This mixture can be explosive, as it will fizz and creates pressure if it is enclosed in a sealed tight container. Never store unused portion; always discard. Be sure to only mix in an open container and do not try to store or cover it in any way. Do not get the mixture into the dog's eyes, nose or mouth.

The puppies had their First Bath

Today me and my kids decided it was time for the puppies to have their first bath.Of course we did not use flea soap because they are still to young for that, we used tresemme shampoo and conditioner. They were a little bit scared because they didn't know what was going on, they soon realized it was okay and they got use to it and enjoyed their bath. We washed them in our sink because our tub is to big and we didn't want them to slip and fall(Just taking extra precautions). After we washed them all we blow dryer them, they were a little scared of that too. But soon got use to it, we got a little video of Summer. But we forgot to get Sunny and June until we were finished with them, Sorry about that. We got some pics of little Sunny and Summer too. They are laying down and sleeping, so we are gonna go bye :) have a pawrific day!

Why we haven't been posting

Hello, sorry for the lack of posts, if you follow us on twitter you know why. But if you don't our Internet has been down, it's back up and running, it sometimes shuts off for no reason. We had to call our Internet company to come out and fix the problem. They said "if it does it again to call them, and they will come out asap". We just want to thank everyone of you for following us, liking us, and most of all give us support! it really makes our day :) And our dogs really love all the attention lol.
